“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
We believe the apostle Paul was serious when he commanded the church, “Do not conform…” As Christians we are not called to run the same self-serving, materialistic race the world offers. We are running a race in which Christ is the prize. Whatever our backgrounds and futures may look like, whatever stages of life we’re in, whatever career paths we have chosen, we must live to magnify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is our ultimate calling.
As Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” If we are Christ’s disciples we will resemble Him rather than the world. Those who dare to live set apart from the world often face attack, slander, and rejection from a culture that has no use for nonconformists. Because of this, many young people are laying down their crosses and conforming to the world’s callings.
Our mission at Generation Impact is to encourage these young people to stand strong in their convictions. We are a handful of young Christians who yearn to see our generation live for more than this world has to offer. We hope to uplift our peers by sharing the thoughts and stories of others who are following God’s call for their lives instead of the world’s.
We believe that God has a plan for you. We believe that He placed you on this earth, in this era, and with this generation for the specific purpose of impacting it for Him. Guess what! Impact starts with ‘I.’ God has given each one of us the opportunity to impact the world around us for His Kingdom. Will we boldly take up this responsibility, or will we leave it for the next generation?
We hope and pray that our generation will strive to impact the world in Christ’s Name. We have faith that God will work through you. Let us encourage you as you embark on the incredible adventure of serving Him.
